Frequently Asked Questions

To start the registration process, please fill out an application form and submit it. Once your application is confirmed, we will set up contracts and outline the next steps.

We welcome little explorers from 3 months to 5 years old, following our comprehensive Admissions Policy which you can request at any time.

Our daily rates are fully inclusive with no hidden fees. The only additional costs are a one-time registration fee for new applicants and, for funded children, a refundable reservation fee.

For all funded hours there is a nominal consumables charge and this includes: aptamil formula milk, nappies, wipes, various creams, craft resources, baking ingredients, wellies, waterproofs, sun cream, spare clothes, sun hats, woolly hats, gloves, snacks, insect bite cream, this is not an exhaustive list but just a taster.

Absolutely! We offer 2 one-hour sessions and 1 two-hour session over lunch or tea time at no extra cost. These visits help you and your child get comfortable with our setting and staff.
If your child is unwell, we ask that you keep them at home according to our Sickness & Illness Policy. We cannot care for sick children at the nursery. Also, note that full fees are still invoiced during absences due to illness or family holidays.
Details regarding late collection are outlined in our Parent Contract and our Late & Non-Collection of Children Policy. We encourage timely pick-ups but understand sometimes delays happen.

We offer a 5% discount to military families or sibling discount. Please note this discount doesn’t apply to funded hours. For details on how these apply, please contact us directly.

Yes, we accept all employer childcare vouchers and are registered for tax-free childcare. You can visit https://www.childcarechoices.gov.uk/ to check if you qualify.
Mini Explorers Crabtree Nursery is open from 7 AM to 6:30 PM. You can choose to join us for a minimum of two full days or 2 half-day sessions. We also offer flexibility for additional days/times subject to availability.

We are closed for Bank Holidays and over the Christmas period. We also follow our Critical Incident Policy for any other necessary closures.
