At Mini Explorers, every meal is a fresh and creative adventure. Our chefs, Tara & Gabby, cook delicious dishes right here, using local ingredients and produce from our own gardens. The changing seasons inspire our menus, bringing the best flavours to the table.
Mealtime is a lively time for everyone at Mini Explorers. Children and educators eat together, sharing stories from their day. Older children help set up and clean up, learning responsibility and enjoying their role in our mealtime community. Our family-style meals encourage kids to serve themselves, helping them try new foods and build healthy eating habits.

From Garden to Table
Our Mini Explorers’ food journey doesn’t end when the plates are cleared. Aside from learning all about food production on the farm, all our children also help to nurture and grow fruit, vegetables and herbs in our gardens and polytunnels in The Paddock.
We love to see the delight on our children’s faces when they harvest the fruits of their labour or collect eggs from the chickens and proudly present them to their parents at home-time.
Baking and cooking around the table is another activity that all our Mini Explorers love, and bread-making and butter churning is a speciality of ours!
